To help our clients enhance creativity, efficiency, and innovation, Shuttlerock has integrated a range of AI tools into both our creative workflow platform (ShuttlerockCloud) and our production capabilities.
These tools have proven to be extremely powerful, helping brands streamline their processes and ultimately get more creative out the door. But while we aim to help our clients take full advantage of these latest technologies, we want to ensure they do so with full transparency and control over the AI tools being used.
For this reason, we’ve launched new control and visibility features that enable clients to dictate how AI is used within their creative projects. These features are designed to give brands the power to tailor their AI usage to fit their specific needs, legal requirements, and ethical guidelines.
Read on to get the full lowdown on these new features.
Controls for use of Generative AI in creative projects
We’ve introduced new controls to give clients full oversight regarding the use of AI within their creative projects and the ability to customize which AI tools are used. Clients can specify whether to utilize AI providers, select their preferred vendors, and define the scope of AI usage within their projects. With these new controls, our aim is to ensure that our creative production practices align with the brand values and ethical/legal standards of our clients.
Clients can completely opt out if they wish to avoid AI altogether. If opted in, preferences can be edited at any time via the client’s brand profile.
Overview of the new controls:
-
Specify AI provider preferences: Within ShuttlerockCloud, clients can select their preferences for using AI providers in different aspects of creative production: image, video, audio, voice-over. Shuttlerock has a thorough and rigorous process to vet and approve AI providers, and we state our preferred AI provider.
-
Define scope of AI usage: In addition to specifying AI vendors for different asset types, clients clients can also provide guidelines for specific, nuanced use cases and preferences, enabling greater personalization and control over how, when, and to what extent GenAI is used for their creative projects.
-
Visibility of AI content usage: As part of our commitment to transparency, clients receive clear visual acknowledgements that show when AI has been used to enhance their creative. This visibility is provided throughout the Delivery, Review, and Creative pages on ShuttlerockCloud.
Controls for platform AI features on ShuttlerockCloud
Along with controls for Generative AI usage, we have also introduced controls that allow clients to opt in or out of ShuttlerockCloud’s AI capabilities. Unlike the features mentioned in the section above, which impact the creative itself, these features are used at different stages within the production workflow on the ShuttlerockCloud platform.
This includes AI briefing, AI copy suggestions, AI writing tools, and AI quickfix qualification. While we encourage opting in to using these features due to the efficiency that they enable, we want to ensure that clients have full control over which AI features they incorporate into their creative process.
Reinforcing our commitment to ethical AI practices & client data security
These new control and visibility features underscore our dedication to ethical AI practices. By empowering our clients to manage how AI is used, we wish to foster innovation while ensuring that brand integrity remains paramount.
Alongside these visibility and control features, we also remain committed to safeguarding client data, ensuring that it’s transmitted securely and never stored or used by third-party AI providers. Shuttlerock is independently audited against the SOC 2 framework annually to ensure these security and privacy practices are being met.
