Shuttlerock Accelerates Growth & Global Reach

Video advertising company creates Global Client Group to support client demand and ever-changing marketing technology landscape.

NEW YORK—November 30, 2020 Shuttlerock, the pre-eminent provider of video ad creative, today announced the appointment of Angela Solk as the company’s North America head of global clients, responsible for leading and expanding engagements across Shuttlerock’s client base. In this newly-created role, Angela will oversee North America efforts for P&G and Unilever, amongst Shuttlerock’s other key clients.

With this appointment, Shuttlerock is expanding its global footprint, bolstered by creative partnerships and state-of-the-art innovation. The company recently announced its global creative partnership with Twitter, which marks the 6th partnership the company landed in 2020. Together with Twitter, official creative partnerships with Facebook, Google/YouTube, Hulu, TikTok and Pinterest help position the company as a complete solution for enterprise brands striving for cross-channel success. Additionally, Shuttlerock Creative Labs helps its clients to explore futuristic formats and next generation innovations.

Solk, who will report into Shuttlerock chief business officer, Scott McBride, will be a part of the newly created Global Client Group. This dedicated group of global client partners across North America, EMEA and APAC will nurture and expand relationships with key clients like McDonalds, Nestle, P&G, SC Johnson and Unilever.

Solk previously held the role of global head of agency partnerships at Spotify. Prior to that, she held senior roles at GroupM, Mediacom and Kantar. She was head of the P&G account for Kantar globally, where she led all insight, communications development, marketing, product strategy, data and digital elements of the business.

“Shuttlerock is growing exponentially in the U.S. and globally as we expand our technology and our investments in technology,” said Jonny Hendriksen, founder and CEO of Shuttlerock. “Angela is a proven leader to help us drive this acceleration further, particularly with our global clients.”

Shuttlerock’s proprietary platform leverages a network of in-house design facilities and technology to quickly create high-performance video ads using existing visual assets as simple as a still photo. This allows marketers to rapidly maximize the reach and impact of existing creative and ensure the optimal performance of planned media investment.

“We are constantly looking to find new ways to best serve our clients’ multitude of needs,” said McBride. “Our global client partners are strategically positioned around the globe and supported by our Creative Labs initiatives, unparalleled innovation and exceptional product.”

“I have always thrived in fast-paced, client-driven environments and Shuttlerock will certainly be no exception,” said Solk. “I am thrilled to join this team of talented professionals and creative visionaries as we take Shuttlerock to the next level in the year ahead.”

Global acceleration and growth are further highlighted with other senior hires. Shuttlerock has also recently announced the appointment of Darren Jacobs as global client partner, working on P&G, Unilever and Nestle in the UK. Jacobs was vice president, international for Nugit, whose core clients included Johnson & Johnson. Additionally, he was head of agency sales, SE Asia and Europe, where he grew revenue and teams across SEA & AUNZ and worked through an IPO. Additionally, Matthias Risse has recently joined the company as chief technology officer. Risse, who has held senior technology roles at Sony and Microsoft, will oversee all of Shuttlerock’s internal and client-facing technology solutions.
